Marguerite
Bruce
Hi, I’m Marguerite, although you call me Greta.
I’m an actor wholeheartedly passionate about
performing and creating theatre.
Currently training in Musical Theatre(MA) at Trinity
Laban Conservatoire
Half Brit, half Wisconsinite, born and raised in North
West London.
About Me
Marguerite trained in Musical Theatre at Goldsmiths University of London and is a
current student on the MA Musical Theatre course at Trinity Laban. She is a
passionate performer who loves all forms of theatre, whether she is performing,
directing or watching from the Audience. Her previous roles include Frieda in Carrie
the Musical, the Crocodile in Just So! and Kath in Our House. She has trained in
classical singing with Toby Stafford Allen alongside her musical theatre background.
Marguerite has always had a passion for theatre, the first show she saw was Les
Misérables, which soon became her favourite. Theatre was a massive part of her
childhood as she took part in amateur dramatic societies, took singing lessons and
watched musicals and plays with her school, girl guide troupe and family both on the
West End and at home. Marguerite acknowledges how lucky she is to have had
access to the arts while growing up and hopes that younger generations will continue
to have the same opportunities she did.
Community engagement is something that is very important to Marguerite, she and
her family have been raising money for Breast Cancer Now, a charity very close to her
and her families’ hearts, for nearly 20 years. This not only brought her family and local
community together but also led to her being nominated to run with the Olympic
torch in the London 2012 Olympics at the age of 13. A truly unforgettable experience
that she is immensely proud of.
